DX6i and 6200 reciever failsafe please help

Hi,

I have just got my rvosd and am having trouble with setting up failsafe.

I have read other threads on this, but still struggle to understand. I have read that the glitch counter does not work for failsafe on spektrum, but that is what comes up when I do the RC wizard. And yes I have aux and throttle connected as well as reciever turned on when I do the wizard.

I then change it back to throttle failsafe point and it goes to 2.03mS.
My max throttle position is 1.93mS.

My reciever is binded to go to min throttle (1.11mS) when signal is lost. I am assuming this will not therefore tell the rvosd that the signal has been lost.

Thanks for any help,
Justin

If the wizard sets the RC/link lost detection to glitch counter then you can leave it like that and test if the OSD detects RC link lost when you turn off your transmitter. IF so then you dont have to change it.
Else if you have to set the RC link lost detection to "Throttle FS point", it has to be set like this:

Rx Normal throttle range < OSD throttle FS detect < Rx throttle FS

Any combination that respect this relationships will work. For example:

Rx Normal throttle range(0-80%) < OSD throttle FS detect(90%) < Rx throttle FS(100%)

You can enter the failsafe detect point on the Set throttle FS detect menu or run the wizard after you calibrate your throttle range.

Thankyou Alex,

I may have confused myself and the whole time it was ok. I am not with plane now, but as u mention when I turned off tx to test... the engine stopped and surfaces went to neutral. This is when the fs was set to detect glitch. Should something show on screen when this happens?

yes, the screen should show "Fail safe" or "return home". It depends what you selected on the menu item If R/C link lost.

thanks for your quick replys. I did confuse myself and it is all good now. The failsafe comes on when turn off tx. This is using glitch counter.
